The BTB685SC "Terra Firma" features neck through body construction with a rosewood top on ash wings attached to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot position markers. The body has a single cutaway design with a very prominent upper bout and a narrow, curving lower horn which meets the neck from the 12th to the 24th fret. This design is said to maximize stability and provide increased sustain.
